The principle of money for supporting or building a cause is one of the most important principles ow wealth and finance. I am going to spend sometime explaning this in detail
Money is a never fo self. It is a resource. As with other resources, it is not an end unto itself, but a means to an end. It must have a purpose. It must be able to take care of your needs and wants, but there must also be a purpose bigger than just yourself to which we can apply money. Many studies have shown that people who live a life that’s bigger than themselves, thingking of those around them, their family, their community and their nation, achieve greater impact that is lasting. Key business leaders today such as Bill Gates and warrant buffets, two of the richest men in the world, have taken ap pledge to give away huge portions of their wealth toward the betterment of society.
My question is, why do it only when you have reached the pinnacle of success ? I am sure these business leaders would agree with me today, that is always a great idea to start with the end in mind.
Imagine you are young business person, just starting out in the business world and you are involved in a cause. You are using yoour time and experience, once a week, to teach children from disadvantages communities to equip them with special skills, such as math or sport, imagine that your business funds this cause.
Now imagine, that these children whom you coach or teach through the work you are doing with them have gained other values and skills which you impart sush as drive, passion, a heart for others, your ability to organize, your ability to make the subject interesting and understandable for them. Imagine that all this results in four or five of these children becoming nation-changers, ministries in govermnent.
